MAROD

MAROD Rebuilt and Reconfigured hoists for the mining industry.

After 50 Years in Business, Machinery Reserve of Denver, Inc. is phasing out of the buying and selling of equipment.  The FOCUS is now on Appraisal, Consulting and Inspection.

HISTORY: Machinery Reserve of Denver, Inc.  MAROD
began life in 1957 when founders Charles A. Cito and Vincent Damiana founded the company in Denver, Colorado to buy and sell used mining equipment.

After two years selling from a one-room office the company moved to a three room office with a garage like structure on a one acre yard.  During this time the two sons of the owners, Alan C. Iannacito (a.k.a. Cito) and Larry Damiana, both recently discharged from the U.S. Navy, started working in the shop.

Two years later, Alan moved into sales and advertising.  Larry stayed in the shop and developed his excellent skills as a machinist, fabricator and innovator.

As the mining and mineral industries changed so did MAROD, buying chemical and plastics processing equipment with an emphasis on stainless steel equipment.

After a few more years the company moved to a large yard, fabrication shop and offices in Lakewood, Colorado.  Here MAROD rebuilt mining hoists, aggregate equipment, minerals processing and chemical processing equipment.  We also took on the fabrication of custom equipment, dryers, and special processing equipment.

As the industry changed MAROD moved out of the rebuilding and fabrication of large equipment to the buying, warehousing and refurbishing of diverse process equipment.  We moved the warehousing and yard to Golden, Colorado.

With the passing of the two founders and the change in location for Larry, Alan took over the business with emphasis on the processing end and appraisals of diverse equipment throughout the U.S. and Canada.

The business further changed and in 2003; MAROD sold most of its assets and Alan moved the office.  MAROD no longer keeps equipment on our own yard but shares space and rents locations as needed.

The focus now is the appraisal of equipment for a variety of reasons (see the appraisal tab), and consulting on the disposal of equipment for customers.  We also work with other dealers selling all over the U.S. and Canada.

MAROD's expertise and integrity is well known in the industry.  Please call MAROD for inspections, fiduciary work, and the disposal of your surplus equipment.
